Eliminating Blind Spots in Insider Threat Investigations with Data Resolve

Insider threats remain one of the most challenging cybersecurity risks for modern organizations. Unlike external attacks, insider threats often originate from trusted users and can develop through seemingly normal activities. Without sufficient visibility and investigation capabilities, these activities can go unnoticed until sensitive data has already left the organization.

To address this growing challenge, Terrabyte successfully hosted the webinar Zero Blind Spots: How to Investigate Employee Behavior Before Data Escapes on 26 May 2026 in collaboration with Data Resolve Technologies. The session brought together IT leaders, cybersecurity professionals, risk managers, and compliance teams to discuss how organizations can improve insider threat investigations and strengthen visibility across their digital environments.

The webinar began with opening remarks from Muhammad Al-Hadid, Regional Marketing Manager at Terrabyte Group, who emphasized the importance of proactive security strategies in today’s evolving threat landscape. As organizations continue to embrace digital transformation, hybrid work models, and cloud adoption, maintaining visibility into user activity has become a critical component of effective cybersecurity and risk management programs.

The main presentation was delivered by Parul Satsangi, Business Management Developer at Data Resolve Technologies, who shared valuable insights into the realities of insider risk management. During the session, Parul highlighted how suspicious employee activities can often blend into normal business operations, making them difficult to identify without the right monitoring and investigation tools.

One of the key themes discussed throughout the webinar was the growing need for organizations to move beyond traditional security monitoring. While visibility is important, security teams must also be able to investigate user behavior, analyze contextual evidence, and identify anomalies before they escalate into serious incidents. The ability to quickly understand who accessed data, where files were transferred, and how sensitive information was handled can significantly improve incident response and risk mitigation efforts.

The discussion also explored several common insider threat scenarios that organizations face today. Activities such as unauthorized file transfers, unusual download behavior, cloud storage uploads, and misuse of privileged access can all create opportunities for data leakage if not detected and investigated in a timely manner. As insider threats continue to evolve, organizations require greater visibility across endpoints, applications, and cloud environments to reduce blind spots and strengthen their overall security posture.

To complement the presentation, attendees were given a live demonstration by Harsh from the Data Resolve Presales Team. The demonstration showcased how organizations can gain deeper visibility into employee activities, monitor potentially risky behavior, and gather actionable evidence to support faster investigations. Participants were able to see how Data Resolve helps security teams identify anomalies, investigate incidents, and reduce the risk of sensitive data leaving the organization.

A key takeaway from the session was that effective insider threat management requires more than visibility alone. Organizations must be equipped with the tools and evidence needed to investigate employee behavior accurately and proactively, helping security teams identify risks earlier and respond before incidents escalate into costly data breaches.

Terrabyte extends its sincere appreciation to Parul Satsangi, Harsh, and the entire Data Resolve team for sharing their expertise and practical insights throughout the webinar. We would also like to thank all attendees for their participation, engagement, and thoughtful discussions, which contributed to the success of the event.

As organizations continue to face increasingly complex insider risks, conversations around employee behavior analytics, visibility, and investigation capabilities will become even more important.
